Jamaica, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's swimming team posted a 68-45 victory against the hosts York College-NY at the YC Natatorium on Thursday evening. The Lightning improved to a 3-8 overall mark, while the Cardinals dropped to a 1-6 record.
Lehman was led by
Joseph Fernandez as he finished first in three freestyle events: 100 (1:34.82), 200 (3:43.12) and 800 (15:51.74).
Steven Perez also won gold for the Lightning in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 36.51, while
Adrian Townsend captured the 100 Breaststroke as he clocked in at 2:07.33.
Lehman will be back in action at the end of the month when it hosts the annual CUNYAC Championships at The APEX Swimming Pool. The three-day event commences on Friday (January 30th) at 2 pm ET.
