BRONX, N.Y. - Another match, another win.
The Lehman women's volleyball team tore through its latest opponent on Wednesday night, this time beating St. Joseph's of Brooklyn 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-21) for the second time in a week.
The triumph not only stretched the team's win streak to six matches, but added to its impressive stretch of 18 straight games without suffering a loss.  Fans would have to go back to the Lightning's match against Ramapo College on September 17 to find the last time an opponent took a game from Lehman.
Lehman received contributions from nearly its entire roster with
Shari Quiles leading the way with six kills and 10 digs.
Jennifer Winkler added five kills while star hitter
Gerri-Ann Martin notched a modest four in limited action.  Setter
Jasmine Bermudez recorded 19 assists and five service aces.  Getting an extended chance to play, freshman
Julia Mercado notched four digs.
With the win Lehman moves to 7-6 overall while remaining 3-1 in CUNYAC.
In a rare turn of events, the Lightning will also play its next match at home when it takes on New Jersey City University on Friday evening.
Lehman has not played back-to-back home matches all season and had not played at the APEX since September 13 prior to tonight's match versus St. Joseph's.
