BRONX, N.Y. - Winning a tennis match is tough enough when a team is at full strength.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Lehman Lightning gave it a shot severely hampered by a depleted roster and likewise suffered an expected fate – a 9-0 loss at the hands of the City College of New York.
While the Beavers dominated each of the matches played, only surrendering six total games, Lehman had little chance of pulling out a win as it was forced to forfeit No.5 and No. 6 singles as well as No. 3 doubles.
The win for the Beavers pushed them back to .500 at 3-3 overall, 3-2 in conference, while the Lightning dropped to 0-6.
Lehman will have a day to regroup before hitting the courts back in the Bronx on Thursday afternoon against Medgar Evers.
