Box Score

BRONX, N.Y. - If there is one group of women who can't wait to see the calendar turn from September to October it is the Lehman tennis team.

Following a 7-2 loss to visiting Baruch College the Lightning finished up a winless month, dropping to 0-7 on the season.

On the positive side sophomore Daraliz Collado continued to build off her impressive freshman season as she improved to 4-2 in singles play.  Competing in the No.1 slot for the Lightning, Collado defeated Victoria Morozova 6-4, 6-2 to earn one of the two Lehman wins on the day.

Lehman's other win came in No. 2 singles action where freshman Nellya Blinova disposed of Amanda Naraine in similar fashion 6-4, 6-2.

Collado and Blinova teamed together for No. 1 doubles but could not get past Morozova and Marianna Kogan.  The Bearcats duo stopped the Collado/Blinova pairing 8-4.

Participating in her first match of the season, Aminat Adebayo claimed two games from Kogan in No. 4 singles action before losing 6-1, 6-1.  Freshman Patricia Cadet also captured several games against her opponent, Lisa Kurner, before succumbing 6-1, 6-2.

Lehman next travels to Staten Island to square off against the Dolphins on October 5.
