Lightning Junior Earns CUNYAC Performer of the Week for Men's Swimming

BRONX, N.Y. - Lightning junior Ivan Srdanovic became the second Lehman men's swimmer of the 2011-12 season to earn accolades for his accomplishments in the water as the City University of New York Athletic Conference named him its men's swimming Performer of the Week on Monday afternoon.

The Roosevelt Island native joins teammate Ramon Peralta, who was also named the conference's Performer of the Week back on January 9, in being recognized by CUNYAC.

With only one meet this week during which to show off his talents, a CUNYAC matchup with the College of Staten Island, Srdanovic made the most of his opportunities by capturing two events. He first won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:53.82 and later took the 100-yard freestyle in 49.30, which was just shy of setting a new school record.

Including the meet against CSI, Srdanovic has taken 10 first place finishes overall.
