The Lehman College Men's and Women's Swimming teams hosted CUNY Baruch on Friday afternoon's meet. The Lightning women were defeated by Baruch College, 99-21, while the men were defeated 108-9.
Despite the final results, Lehman's swimmers remained determined while under pressure.
Mariella Nunez delivering a strong second-place finish in the Women's 200-yard freestyle with a final time of 2:58.52. She continued her impressive performance by placing third in the Women's 100-yard freestyle scoring 3 points with a final time of 1:14.33.
Amaya Sanchez continuing that same momentum and delivering another second-place performance in the Women's 100-yard Butterfly with a final time of 1:27.23. Despite a tougher defeat,
Steven Perez showing determination placed fourth-place performances in the Men 50-Yard Freestyle (31.36) and the Men's 100-Yard Freestyle (1:19.53).
In the final event, Lehman swimming team performance in the 400-yard Medley Relay Time Trial finished with a combined time of 6:40.48 (women's) and a final time of 6:5.41 for the Men's.
