Volleyball Drops Double Dip

BRONX, N.Y. – The Lehman College Volleyball team dropped a pair of non-conference matches on Saturday by identical 3-0 scores, to Rutgers-Camden and Farmingdale State. Lehman now has a 10-11 record on the season.

Against Farmingdale, set scored were 25-15, 25-23, 25-23. Junior Besa Zabelaj (White Plains, N.Y/White Plains) led the way with nine kills, 10 digs, and four service aces. Sophomore Cari English (Yonkers, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman) added six kills, two aces, and two blocks.

Against the hosts, Rutgers-Camden, set scores were 25-13, 25-10, 25-18. English again had nine kills and two blocks. Freshman Imani Dubois (Bronx, N.Y./JP Taravella) had 12 assists, eight digs, and two service aces.

The Lightning return to action on Monday, October 15, at St. Joseph's of Brooklyn.
