STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's soccer team had its inaugural season come to an end on Thursday afternoon, falling 7-0 to CCNY in the Semifinal Round of the 2012 CUNY Athletic Conference/Applebee's Women's Soccer Championship.

The Lightning, who earned the number three seed heading into the championships, end the season with a 7-8 record.

The game was played on a wet field at the College of Staten Island, just days after then-Hurricane Sandy wreaked havoc across the tri-state area.

Lehman got off to a sluggish start, falling behind 3-0 at the half. The Beavers would score four more times in the second half.

CCNY will now face the winner of the #1 Staten Island/#4 John Jay match, which is also being played today at Staten Island.
