WAYNE, N.J. – The Lehman College men's and women's swimming and diving teams concluded the regular season on Thursday night, with both teams falling at host William Paterson. The men's team fell 144-94, while the women came up short, 122-79.
For the women, Sophomore Melody Ovalles (New York, N.Y./Community Health) won the 100-yard backstroke, senior Aytaissa Estime-Kirkpatrick (New York, N.Y./LS3) won the 500-freestyle, and sophomore Elizabeth Oladele (Bronx, N.Y./A.P. Randolph) won the 100-breaststroke.
On the men's side, sophomore Anthony Preda (Long Island City, N.Y./Basha) won the 100-butterfly and the 100-breaststroke, while senior Ramon Peralta (Bronx, N.Y./Bronx Leadership) claimed first place in the 100-backstroke.
The Lightning now have a week to prepare for the upcoming three-day CUNY Athletic Conference Championships, held January 30-February 1, at the APEX at Lehman College.
