BRONX, N.Y. – The Lehman College swimming and diving teams fell to the College of Staten Island in a key CUNY Athletic Conference meet at the APEX Pool on Tuesday evening. The women lost, 150-67, while the men were defeated, 127-113.

Senior Adriana Navarrete (Lima, Peru/Law and Community Service) was the sole double winner on the women's side. She earned first place finishes in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-free. She finished the 50-free with a time of 28.22 and completed the 100-free in 1:04.40.

For the men, junior Chris Polanco (Bronx, N.Y./Aviation) was also a double winner. He finished first in the 100-back with a time of 1:02.74. He was also a member of the first place 200 yard freestyle relay team which finished in 1:31. 76. Freshman Carlos Alonso (Yonkers, N.Y./Saunders) won the 500-free, finishing in 5:25.97.

The Lightning will return to the APEX Pool on Friday, January 17, for another key conference contest against Baruch College. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6:00pm.
