QUEENS, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's tennis team fell to host Hunter College, 9-0, in CUNY Athletic Conference play on Saturday afternoon. The match took place at the USTA's National Tennis Center in Flushing.
Lehman's best chance for a win came at second singles, where sophomore Lynessa George (Bronx, N.Y./New Covenant Christian) took the first set 6-2, before dropping the second set,6-3, and the tiebreak, 10-7.
The Lightning will compete in another road CUNYAC match on Wednesday, September 24, against the Cardinals of York College, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
