Box Score PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's soccer team dropped a hard-fought 2-0 non-conference decision at Purchase College on Tuesday night. The Lightning drop to 6-3-1 on the season, while Purchase improves to 5-4.
Purchase opened the scoring in the 34th minute, as the Panthers scored on a penalty kick. The match remained tight throughout with Lehman freshman keeper Stephanie Gonzalez (Yonkers, N.Y./Gorton) making several spectacular saves. On the night, Gonzalez made 15 saves, 11 of which came in the second half.
The Lightning now take a week break, and will travel to face St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn on October 7.
