Box Score ALLENTOWN, Penn. – The Lehman College women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against Cedar Crest College on Saturday afternoon, in the first round of the Cedar Crest Soccer Classic.
The Lightning (2-1-1) jumped out quickly, carrying play early. Ultimately, Lehman opened the scoring in the game's 13th minute, as junior Juliana Generoso (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) found the back of the net with her fourth goal of the season. The host Falcons (1-1-1) responded in the 27th minute, and tied the game at one goal apiece.
Both teams had opportunities throughout regulation and overtime, but to no avail. Lehman keeper Stephanie Gonzalez (Yonkers, N.Y./Gorton) made four saves on the afternoon.
In the first overtime period, Generoso had two good scoring opportunities, but the Cedar Crest keeper made saves both times.
Lehman will play Valley Forge Christian on Sunday on Day Two of the Classic.
