Post game Interview with Lehman Head Coach Casey Melilli

Bronx, N.Y. -The Women's soccer team continued their winning ways with a convincing 3-1 win over CUNYAC rival Brooklyn (3-8-1, 2-1-1 CUNYAC).  The win gives Lehman (10-1, 4-0 CUNYAC) a strangle hold atop the conference standings.

Brooklyn opened the scoring when Jordan Kirwin converted a free kick from the 25 yards just 2:04 into the game.  Lehman was able to get the equalizer when Chesley Harris converted a through ball by deflecting it with her knee past the Brooklyn keeper.  Lehman dominated the remainder of the rest of the half.  The Lightning outshot the Bulldogs 18-5 on the afternoon.

Early in the second half Harris tallied again, her 15th of the season, in very similar fashion.  This time she received a through ball and was able to chip the keeper to give the Lightning a 2-1 advantage.  Daisey Gomez rounded out the scoring midway through when she turned on a ball in the box and buried it in the far post.

The Lightning are back in action on Tuesday night at South Field.  Kick-off against Mount St. Vincent is slated for 6:00 P.M.
