BRONX, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's tennis team earned a key CUNY Athletic Conference victory over Brooklyn College, 5-4, on the APEX Tennis Courts on Thursday morning. This is the Lightning's first victory over the Bulldogs in over a decade.

Lynessa George (Bronx, N.Y./New Covenant Christian) earned a victory at #2 singles, 6-2 and 7-5. Classmate
Kantomalala Rasedoara (Woodside, N.Y./Newcomers) cruised to a #3 singles win, 6-1 and 6-1. Sophomore
Elizaveta Ostanina (St. Petersburgh, Russia/APRCHS) earned a tight #4 singles victory, 7-5 and 7-5, while senior
Neralda Zuniga (Dual Language & Asian Studies) won at #5 singles, 6-3, 6-7, and 6-1.

Princess Roache (Brooklyn, N.Y.) to win at #2 doubles, 8-6.
The Lightning will hit the road on Friday to take on the College of New Rochelle. The match is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. Â
