BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The #1 Lehman College women's Soccer team suffered a hard-fought loss, 2-1, to #2 CSI in overtime in the CUNY Athletic Conference Championship game at Brooklyn College Field on Saturday afternoon. The Dolphins, who are now the CUNYAC Champions, have earned an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament, while the Lightning will wait for a potential bid in the ECAC Metro Championships.

Samantha Wysokowski took a feed from Krysta Peraccio and scored the game-winning goal with 26 seconds remaining in the first overtime period.

Lehman (14-3) fell behind 1-0, in the 17^th minute, thanks to a goal by Danielle Alexandrini. Stephanie Rivera was credited with the assist.

The Lightning would strike back in the 33^rd minute, thanks to a goal by freshman midfielder Chelsey Harris. Sophomore midfielder Pamela Sanchez kicked the ball through a sea of Dolphin defenders and connected to Harris, who sprinted up the field and buried her 26^th goal of the season, to tie the match at one.

It was a tight defensive second half as both teams had chances, but couldn't find the back of the net. With the score tied at one, the match entered extra time and from there, Wysokowski provided the heroics to help Staten Island (13-4-1) earn the championship.

For the match, the Lightning narrowly outshot the Dolphins 11-9, though CSI outshot Lehman 3-0 in extra time. Lehman had three corner kick opportunities, while the Dolphins had one.

Sophomore goalkeeper Stephanie Gonzalez produced four saves. Harris recorded a team-high three shots, while sophomore forward Lillian Barreto and freshman midfielder Michelle Reyes Ruiz each recorded two shots.
