BRONX, N.Y. – The Lehman College softball team will compete in the CUNY Athletic Conference Championships, beginning on Wednesday. The Lightning earned the #5 seed and will take on #4 John Jay in the first round, on the campus of Manhattanville College, beginning at 4:00 p.m.

The Lightning and Bloodhounds split both ends of their CUNYAC doubleheader in the regular season. Lehman won Game One, 16-14, while John Jay won the second game.

These two teams met in the first round last season on the campus of Brooklyn College. John Jay earned the victory by a score of 5-2.

The winner of Wednesday's contest will go on to the double-elimination round, beginning on Friday at the College of Staten Island. The final day of the CUNYAC Championships will be on Saturday, also on the campus of CSI.
