BRONX, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's tennis team defeated York, 8-0, on the APEX Tennis Courts on Thursday afternoon. The spring season has now concluded for the Lightning.

The Lightning won all three of their doubles matches. Lehman also claimed five victories in singles competition, highlighted by freshman Princess Roache's (Brooklyn, N.Y.) three-set #1 singles victory, 5-7, 6-0, and 6-0. Sophomore Kantomalala Rasedoara (Woodside, N.Y./Newcomers) came out on top in a competitive second singles match, 7-6 and 6-3.

Freshman Elizaveta Ostanina (St. Petersburg, Russia/APRCHS) won a close #4 singles match, 7-6 and 6-4, while sophomore Taylor-Marie Soriano (Valley Cottage, N.Y./Nyack) and junior Natalie Carrasquillo (Bronx, N.Y./In-Tech Academy) won at #3 and #5 singles respectively.
