Box Score BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's soccer team cruised to an 8-0 victory over St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn, at Aviator Field, on Wednesday evening. The Lightning have now won five matches in a row, and their 9-1 record is the best start in program history. Lehman's five-game winning streak is the longest in team history.
The Lightning got off to a quick start by scoring three goals within the first 9:49 of the contest. The Blue and Gold scored five goals in the first half, and then added two more in the second to earn the convincing win.

Chelsey Harris (Bronx, N.Y./Cayon) scored three goals to help lead the Lightning. Senior forward
Juliana Generoso (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) scored two goals, while sophomore midfielder
Pamela Sanchez-Espejel (Yonkers, N.Y./Saunders) and senior defender
Samantha Dias (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Connetquot)Â each netted a goal.

The Lightning outshot the Bears, 28-7. Sophomore goalkeeper
Stephanie Gonzalez (Yonkers, N.Y./Gorton) made three saves to earn her fifth shutout of the season.
Lehman will be on the road again on Saturday, for a non-conference match against Cairn, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
