Box Score Purchase, N.Y. – Daisy Gomez netted both of the team's two goals, including the game-winning score in the 50th minute, as the Lehman College women's soccer team edged Purchase College, 2-1, Wednesday night at the Purchase field.

Gomez tallied her seventh and eighth total goals for the Lightning (6-5-1), as she moves into the top-three in the CUNYAC conference in goals. Lillian Barreto and Chelsey Harris each chipped in with an assist, while Linda Resto made a save as the defense allowed just two shots on net.

Amanda Green scored the lone goal for the Panthers (4-6-2), while Emma Porter got the team's assist on the score. Rachel Mizrahi made six saves on the game in a losing effort.

Purchase took a 1-0 lead into halftime after Green's goal in the 32nd minute on a touch pass the defense from Porter. Lehman got the game tied right after the intermission when Gomez scored at 45:51 on a Barreto cross to the 18' mark and shot beat the keeper off the right post.

Less than four minutes later, Gomez would take a Harris pass from the end line and earned the goal at 49:43 to give the Lightning a 2-1 edge. The stingy Lehman defense did not allow a goal in the second half as they earned their second straight match.

The Lightning seek their third straight win as they close the season with four straight matchups. They will host Medgar Evers College as part of a doubleheader with the men's team.
