Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's and women's soccer teams will host a CUNYAC doubleheader as the regular season moves toward the home stretch. The women face off with Medgar Evers College at 12:00 p.m. and the men take on Staten Island at 2:30 Saturday on the South Field. The women will recognize the nine seniors on the squad in a pre-game ceremony. The women's tennis team will also host a rare double header. The Lightning will take on conference foes Hunter at 11:00 AM and York at 2:30 PM. Beofre the opening match, Lehman will take a couple of moments to honor the four seniors on the squad who are palying their final home match of their careers. The cross country squads are also in action. It will be the Lightning's final tune-up beofre the CUNYAC Championships.
The women's soccer team (6-5-1, 2-1-0 CUNYAC) is looking for their third straight victory when they face off with the Cougars, who have yet to record a win on the season. They are coming off a 5-1 conference win over York and a 2-1 win against non-conference opponent Purchase College on Wednesday night.
With three CUNYAC matches to go, they will look to solidify their position in the conference, currently ranked in third.
Conference player of the week
Chelsey Harris leads the team with a CUNY-best nine goals and four assists, and is coming off a four-goal performance in a win over York.
Daisy Gomez tallied both goals in the victory over Purchase, and pushes her season total to eight (second in the conference).
On the men's side, the second-place Lightning (6-3-3, 4-0-2 CUNYAC) are currently the hottest team in the conference, winning three straight games against Baruch, York and John Jay College. Their unbeaten streak in the CUNYAC is at six games, and will look to extend it to seven when they host the Dolphins who are in a tie for third (4-1-1 CUNYAC) and one game behind Lehman.

Essosa Aluyi, who has posted five goals and an assist.
Ramone Rowe is recently coming off his best game of the season, tallying two goals and an assist in the team's 7-2 win over York. Goalkeeper
Irvin Barreto ranks second in the CUNYAC with a .982 goals against average in 10 games in net.

The cross country squad will be participating in the St. Joseph's College (LI) Invitational. The meet will be contested at Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park, NY. The women run at noon and the men at 1:00 PM.
