Bronx, NY – The Lehman College men's and women's swim teams will be back in the pool on Saturday afternoon as they host the College of New Rochelle.
In their first meet of the season, the Lightning came out on the short end against Maritime. Lehman had several notable performances in their opener.
Angela Mejia recorded three first place finishes as she won the 200 free in 2:13.85, the 100 free in 59.22 and the 100 breast in 1:16.90. On the men's side
Adam Acevedo swam well winning the 50 free in 24.36 and the 100 fly in 57.36. Chris Fischer also had a solid opening meet as he won the 100 free in 52.79 and took second in the 200 IM in 2:14.98.
The College of New Rochelle has already swam in a handful of meets. The women's team improved to 3-3 on Thursday night as they swept a tri-meet. The Blue Angels picked up wins over the College of Mount Saint Vincent and the College of Old Westbury.
CNR's men's team is also .500. The Blue Angels are 2-2 with victories over the Fashion Institute of Technology and St. Joseph's Brooklyn.
Things get underway in the APEX Pool at noon on Saturday.
