After 13 Days Off Swimmers Head Back to the Pool

Bronx, NY – After 13 days off the Lehman College Swimming and diving teams will head back to the pool as they travel to Staten Island to face the always tough Dolphins.

The Lightning women are 2-4 having dropped their two most recent meets at Ramapo and Hunter. The CSI women also come into the meet with a 2-4 mark having lost their last four meets.  The Dolphins started the season with victories over Brooklyn and John Jay.  The Dolphins are led by Ewa Wojciechowska and Nouran Abualam.  Wojciechowska is the reigning CUNYAC performer of the Week while Abualam is the reigning CUNYAC Diver of the Week.  Leading the charge for the Lightning is Angela Mejia and Jessica Reynoso

On the men's side, Chris Fischer, Adam Acevedo will lead the Lightning in their CUNYAC opener.  Lehman stands at 3-2.  In the most recent outing almost two weeks ago, Lehman came up short again a strong Ramapo squad.  The Dolphins own a 3-1 mark with victories over, Brooklyn, William Paterson and most recently Baruch.  The Dolphins swept this past weeks' CUNYAC honors as Tim Sweeney was named Performer of the Week, Omar Zaky Rookie of the Week and Adil El Haddad Diver of the Week.

Action gets underway from the Sports and Recreation Center on the Staten Island campus beginning at 6:00 pm.  For those unable to travel to Staten Island, a live stream of the meet is available.
