Box Score Jersey City, NJ - The Gothic Knights of New Jersey City University defeated Lehman in both ends of a double header, 13-2 and 11-0 to improve to 9-5. Lehman falls to 1-7.
Genesis Paulino broke up the perfect game in the top of the fifth with a two base hit to right field. Paulino also got one of Lehman's two hits in the first game.
Crystal Contreras was credited with the other hit. Both Paulino and Contreras were also credited with RBIs.
The Gothic Knights smacked 10 hits in the first game and followed that up with 13 hits in game two.
NJCU plated five runs in the home half of the first en-route to victory in the opener. In the nightcap the Gothic Knights also struck early scxoring five in the first inning.
Yaidee Nieves was credited with the loss in the first game.
Meghan Bravo got the loss in game two.
Lehman is back in action on Saturday as they open up league play at Staten Island. First pitch in the double header is scheduled for noon at the Staten Island Softball Complex.
