Box Score 2 STATEN ISLAND, NY --- Senior
Chariny Graciano had the Lightning's only two hits as the Lehman College softball team lost both games of their Saturday double-header at the College of Staten Island, falling 19-0 and 13-0 respectively.
Â
In the top of the first of game one, Lehman had runners at second and third with no outs when junior
Arlette Martinez walked and Graciano singled through the right side, followed by stolen bases for both players. But the next three batters all went down swinging, and the Lightning's best chance to get on the board was dashed. Graciano singled again in the top of the third. Junior
Meghan Bravo pitched four innings for Lehman.
Â
Game two saw Dolphins sophomore starting pitcher Nicolette Trapani throw a five inning no-hitter. Martinez was the pitcher of record for Lehman. Staten Island, the defending CUNYAC Champs, improve to 7-5 on the year while Lehman falls to 1-9.
Â
The Lightning are back on the field on Tuesday when they host the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in a CUNYAC double-header beginning at 4:00 p.m.
