Newburgh, NY – The Lehman College women's tennis team continued its winning ways with a 6-3 road victory over Mount Saint Mary College. The win, Lehman's sixth in a row leaves the Lightning with a season mark of 7-1. The Knights fall to 3-7.
Lehman got on the board first by sweeping all three doubles matches. At number one doubles Sachaa Espiritu and
Lizaveta Markouskaya prevailed 8-5. At second doubles the duo of
Lynessa George and Kanto Rasedoara defeated their opponent 8-3. In the third spot
Patricia Cadet was paired with
Mami Aoki to win 8-5.
Aoki also won her singles match playing in the third position. The sophomore from Manhattan went on to win 6-1, 6-1. Lehman was also victorious at the fifth and sixth spot as Rasedoara and Cadet each won their match 6-1, 6-0.
Lehman jumps back into league play on Saturday against Hunter. The match is scheduled for the APEX Courts. First serve is scheduled for 11:00 AM.
