Five Lehman College athletic teams will be in action on Saturday. Both the men's and women's cross country teams will travel out to Long Island to participate in the St. Joseph's (LI) Invitational. Women's volleyball travels to Allentown, PA to battle Cedar Crest at noon. The women's soccer team will travel to Brooklyn to take on Medgar Evers while the men's soccer team will go to Staten Island to clash with the Dolphins.
The cross country teams will participate in the 18
th Annual St. Joseph's Invitational. Teams from all over the metropolitan area will converge on Sunken Meadow Park in Kings Park, NY. The cross country race will be contested over a hilly and variable setting surrounded by mature woodlands. The races tentatively are scheduled to begin at noon.

Sovanny Ebbesen and her volleyball players embark on a four match road trip before the Lightning return home on October 24 to face Brooklyn College and St. Joseph's (Brooklyn). Lehman (4-17) travels to Cedar Crest College for a 1:00 PM non-conference encounter with the Falcons. Lehman is coming off a three set victory over Medgar Evers.
Samantha Delgado led the Lightning with eight service aces and 21 assists.
Paulette Sepulveda added 13 digs and seven kills. The Falcons are 13-4 and have won six of their last seven.

Toma Gojcevic and his charge travel to Staten Island to face a tough Dolphin squad. Lehman (9-3-1:6-0) is undefeated in its last four having only surrendered one goal. In their most recent outing the Lightning had to come from behind before earning a 1-1 tie with the Panthers of Old Westbury. CSI is 9-4-1 overall and 4-2 in conference play. In their most recent outing they battled Steven's Institute of Technology to a scoreless draw in Hoboken, NJ this past Wednesday afternoon.

Lehman's women's soccer team travels to Brooklyn to battle Medgar Evers at 1:30 PM at MCU Park in Coney Island. The women's soccer team now stands at 6-6-1:2-1 after blanking Old Westbury 2-0 in a mid-week non-conference affair. It was the third straight shutout posted by the Lightning and goal keeper
Rebecca Gritz. Medgar Evers owns a 1-10-1 overall record and a 0-3-1 mark in conference play. In their most recent outing, the Cougars played to a 0-0 draw with York College.
This game as part of the memorial soccer match for David Peters. Peters was a former Medgar Evers soccer coach who passed away earlier this summer. Admission price also includes access to the Medgar Evers-York men's game that is scheduled to kick-off at 3:30 PM as well as the Cosmos game later that evening.
Tickets are $20.00 and are good for all three games. All of the proceeds from the game will be going to the Memorial Scholarship Fund for David Peters.
