Mahwah, NJ – The Lehman College women's tennis was upended by Ramapo 8-1 in a non-conference match this afternoon. The Lightning fall to 2-8. The Roadrunners improve to 6-1.
The Roadrunners took all three double matches. Lehman's number one doubles team of
Lizaveta Markouskaya and
Celine Figueroa were able to capture two games while second double team of
Jihane Bahbaz and
Yohara Molineros fell 8-1. Third doubles team of
Joanna Rosario and
Nadia Baba lost at love.
Molineros was the only Lightning player to be credited with a singles victory as her opponent retired while winning 3-2.
Lehman returns to action on Wednesday when the Lightning host CUNYAC rival Hunter.
