Bronxville, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team split a tri-match at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville on Saturday. They fell to CSI in a non-conference matchup, 3-1 and rebounded with a win over Sarah Lawrence, 3-1.
The Lightning fell to the Dolphins in four sets, by scores of 25-20, 25-22, 18-25 and 25-12. Caitlyn Vernon finished with 14 digs and nine kills.
Sandra Izaguirre notched 15 digs and four aces.
Samantha Delgado posted a double-double of 23 assists and 16 digs.
The second match saw Lehman rebound with a 3-1 victory over the Gryphons. The scores were 25-13, 22-25, 25-29 and 25-15. Three Lightning players posted double-doubles. Delgado had 28 assists and 11 digs, Vernon totaled 12 kills and ten digs, while
Paulette Sepulveda finished with 13 digs and ten kills.
The Lehman College volleyball team returns to action on Tuesday, October 24, when they host Brooklyn College and St. Joseph's College. The first serve with the Bulldogs is scheduled for 6 PM.
