Bronx, NY - The Lehman College women's tennis dropped a hard fought 5-3 decision to Purchase (5-3) in women's tennis. It was Lehman's final home match of the year.
The Lightning dropped all three doubles matches to begin the day. However, in singles play the Lightning made the Panthers earn the victory as Lehman played well winning three matches. At first singles
Sacha Espiritu defeated her opponent three and one. At second singles
Lizaveta Markouskaya prevailed two and three. The Panthers took the third and fourth singles to secure the win before
Yohara Molineros won at fifth singles. The six singles match could not be finished as darkness fell.
The Lightning (3-9) return to action on Saturday as they travel to York for a CUNYAC match. First serve is noon.
