Lehman College Swimming Teams Return to Action on Thursday

Bronx, N.Y. – Both of the Lehman College swimming & diving teams return to action on Thursday, November 30 as they travel to Brooklyn College for a CUNAYAC meet at 6PM.

The Lightning men are looking for their third straight win, having secured victories over Old Westbury and Purchase, most recently.  The team is led by Andres Rodriguez, the reigning CUNYAC Swimmer of the Week.  Rodriguez won the 50 freestyle (23.60), 100 fly (59.98) and was part of the winning relay in the 200 free (1:38.19).
 
The women enter the competition following a victory over Purchase College that saw the Lightning improve to 2-2 on the year.  Leading the way for the team is freshman, Sarina Eshtiaghi, won captured the CUNYAC Rookie of the Week award.  Her storied season continued against Purchase with triumphs in the 200 free (2:08.58) and the 100 fly (1:05.07).  She also set a new school record in the 100 fly earlier in the year.

The Brooklyn women enter the meet with a mark of 1-2.  All three meets were against CUNYAC schools as the Bulldogs fell to CSI and John Jay before they downed York.  The Brooklyn men are 1-1 having been edged out by CSI and  narrowly defeating York.
