Four Lightning Hoopsters in Double Figures in Loss to FDU Florham

Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's basketball team fell to FDU Florham by a score of 104-71, in the final game of the 2018 Coaches vs. Cancer Classic on Friday in the Bronx.  Four Lightning players reached double-figures in scoring.

Lehman never led in the game, but a pair of Lynda Fields free throws early on tied the score at 2-2 early in the first quarter.  The Devils took control from there and raced out to a 22 point cushion at halftime, 49-27.

A Lisa Fields layup with 8:49 left in the third pulled Lehman within 16, but they couldn't get any closer than that.  FDU Florham eventually went on to win 104-71.

Lehman was led in the game by Lynda Fields, who notched a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds.  She even contributed seven assists and was named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts.  Selena Lopez totaled 18 points and nine rebounds, while Ayanna Behagen had 14 and Lisa Fields finished with 11.

The Lehman College women's basketball team is now 6-5 on the season.  They return to action on Wednesday, January 3, when they face the College of Staten Island on the road.  The CUNYAC contest is slated for 6 PM.
