Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's tennis prepared for their spring competition as they took on Hunter College Monday morning, and were victorious over their CUNYAC foe 6-3 on the APEX Tennis Courts.

In singles action, the Lightning took four of the six matchups. No. 1 singles Sacha Espiritu earned a 6-0, 6-1 win over Catherine Ng. Mami Aoki topped Mehriniso Khaydarova 6-0, 6-3 in the No. 2 singles matchup, while Lynessa George (6-0, 6-0) and Kano Rasedoara (6-2, 6-2) secured wins in the No. 3 and No. 4 singles showdowns.

The doubles saw Espiritu and Aoki taking the No. 1 match in convincing fashion at 8-0 over Ng and Khaydarova. The team of Rasedoara and George were victorious in No. 2 doubles over Tenzin Zompa and Kyanna Bertrand, 8-0.

The team's next matchup is Saturday April 22nd, when they host CUNYAC rival Baruch College. First serve is scheduled on the APEX Tennis Courts at 10:00 a.m.
