Patchogue, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's soccer team earned its second-straight victory with a 2-1 win over St. Joseph's College in a game played in Patchogue, New York on Wednesday. The team improved to 3-2 on the year.
The Lightning got on the board in the 13
th minute off of a corner kick.
Adewale Adewusi flicked the cross on net and
Salh Alzubidi got his head to it and beat the keeper for the game's first goal. Alzubidi would double his scoring late in the first half, when he took a turnover and beat the keeper for the unassisted goal. Alzubidi leads the team with five goals and ten points.
Chris Mulholland made four saves to help secure the victory. Alzubidi had a game-best five shots on goal.
Eduardo Victorio totaled three shots.
The Lehman College men's soccer team returns to the field on Saturday, September 16, when they open CUNYAC play against Brooklyn College. The home game with the Bulldogs is slated to start at noon.
