Bronx, NY - All Lehman College in-season teams will be in action on Saturday. The volleyball squad travels to Mt. St. Vincent for a tri-match with FDU-Florham, while the women's soccer team hosts Mt. St. Vincent. The men's soccer team will battle Baruch on the pitch while the women's tennis team will square off with the Bearcats on the APEX Courts. Both the men's and women's cross country teams will travel up to Newburgh, NY to compete in the Mt. St. Mary College Knight Invitational.
The men's soccer team has an early wake-up call as they will travel to Randall's Island to face CUNYAC leader Baruch with first place on the line. The Bearcats are coming off a 4-2 victory over previous unbeaten CSI. The Lightning find themselves one-half game back. In their most recent outing, Lehman dropped a 3-2 nonconference thriller against Ramapo. Kick-off is slated for 10:00 AM.
The women's soccer team looks to notch another victory as they play host to Dolphins of Mt. St. Vincent. The Dolphins come into this afternoons contest with a record of 2-5. In their most recent outing CMSV fell to Farmingdale 2-0. Lehman also suffered a setback in a midweek tilt at Manhattanville and now is 3-6-1. The cross country teams travel up to Newburgh, NY to participate in the Mt. St. Mary Knight Invitational. The women's race starts at 11:00 AM with the men's race to follow at noon. The races will be contested at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome. The Sports Dome, a 50 acre campus, has groomed cross country routes of 1.5 K, 5 K, 6 K, and 8 K which consist of several challenging elevation changes.
The Lehman College women's tennis team looks to rebound from a 9-0 defeat at the hands of FDU. It was the first time in more than two years that the Lightning failed to win a match. The Lightning now stand at 2-6. Lehman will host Baruch at noon on the APEX Courts. The Bearcats have only played four matches and own a 2-2 record. Their wins came against New Rochelle and Farmingdale and losses to Kean and Brooklyn.
The volleyball squad will travel to the Riverdale section of the Bronx to face the College of Mount Saint Vincent and FDU-Florham in a tri-match. Lehman will take on FDU-Florham at 1:00 PM and the hosts at 3:00 PM. CMSV started the season slowly but have won their last five and stand at 7-6. The Devils have won their last eight and come into today's competition with a record of 12-3. Fans who are unable to make the trip to Riverdale can follow all the action on live stats.
