Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's tennis team dropped a CUNYAC match to Baruch College, 5-4, from the Apex tennis courts on campus Saturday.  The team won a single doubles match and took three of the singles matches.
 
The team of Sacha Espiritu and Lizaveta Markouskaya dominated the first doubles flight, winning, 8-1.  Lehman dropped the other two matches.
 
In singles play, Espiritu prevailed in the top spot, with a score of 6-2, 6-1.  Markouskaya triumphed at the second flight, by 7-5 and 6-4.  The third Lehman point came from Yohara Molineros, who won in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2.
 
The team is now 2-7 overall and 1-1 in conference play.  They return to action on Monday, October 2, when they travel to New Jersey to face Ramapo College at 4PM.
