Bronx, N.Y. - Five Lehman Lightning women's basketball players reached double-figures in scoring in a 100-49 victory over John Jay in the homecoming game in the Bronx on Saturday. The Lightning improved to 12-9 overall and 8-4 in CUNYAC play.
Lehman led 35-9 after a quarter. The game was just a four point difference at the 6:20 mark in the first, but the Lightning outscored the Bloodhounds 27-3 the rest of the way.
Ayanna Behagen made a jumper at 4:53 that put the Lightning up 11. The lead got to 20 when
Lynda Fields finished a three-point-play at 2:39 that made the score 26-6.

Lillybeth Garcia tip-in at 9:09 in the second increased the lead to 31, 42-11. A Garcia three-pointer with 0:09 left gave Lehman its largest lead of the half, 42 points, at 67-25. The Lightning led at the break, 67-25. The largest lead of the game for Lehman, 58 points, came courtesy of a couple of free throws from
Lisa Fields with 3:11 left in the game. Lehman won 100-49.
Behagen posted a double-double in the win with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Aliyah Dorsett led the team with 19 points and four steals.
Selena Lopez made seven shots and totaled 18 points.
Lynda Fields had 18 points. Garcia shot 7-9 and finished with 17. The Lightning shot 52.1% from the field, posted a 25-12 difference in assists to turnovers and accumulated 20 steals.
The team returns to action on Tuesday, January 30, when they face Baruch at 5:30 PM in Manhattan.
