Florham, N.J. – The Lehman College men's and women's swim teams dropped their matches to FDU Florham on Saturday in New Jersey. The women lost to the Devils, 109-71, while the men were edged late and fell 102-98.
The men had several standout performances on the day. The 400 medley relay team of
Christopher Fischer,
Adam Acevedo,
Anton Kyrylenko and
Ryan Sanchez came in first with a quick time of 4:04.29, nearly 29 seconds in front of the second place team. Individually, Fischer won the 50 free with time of 24.25. Acevedo blew out the competition in the 100 fly, fishing in 56.62, almost ten seconds ahead of the next swimmer. Kyrylenko capped the day with a win in the 100 breast, clocking a mark of 1:09.70, five seconds before the runner up.
Christina Hitchman was the standout for the women, placing second in the 50 free (28.68) and anchoring the 400 medley relay team that notched a time of 5:33.72.
The Lehman College swimming teams return to the pool on Thursday, January 11 at 6PM, when they host Baruch in a CUNYAC meet.
