Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's and women's swimming teams began its respective season dropping home dual meets to Mount St. Mary's College-NY at The APEX Pool on Saturday.
The Lightning men's side lost 143-104 to the visiting Knights, while the women dropped a 151-54 decision.
Anton Kyrylenko won both respective individual Men's Breaststroke races for Lehman with times of 1:06.75 (100) and 2:31.89 (200). Meanwhile, CUNYAC Preseason Swimmer of the Year
Christopher Fischer took the Men's 200 Freestyle clocking in at 1:59.60.
Ryan Sanchez also finished first in a race for Lightning during the Men's 1,000 Freestyle with an overall time of 12:39.44.
On the women's side:
Sarina Eshtiaghi led the way for Lehman as she claimed both backstroke events taking the 100 at 1:05.10 and then 200 at 2:22.01, respectively. Eshtiaghi along with
Sheila Davila,
Patricia Gonzalez and
Paola Gonzalez gave the Lightning a first-place finish in the Women's 200 Freestyle Relay.
Lehman returns to action on Wednesday, November 7
th when it travels for a dual meet against College at Old Westbury.
