Men’s Soccer Drops 1-0 Decision To Hunter

New York, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's soccer team three-game winning streak came to an end on Wednesday afternoon after dropping a 1-0 decision to hosts Hunter College in CUNYAC match-up at Randall's Island.  The Lightning fall to 5-6 overall, 3-2 CUNYAC, while the Hawks improve to 3-6-1 and 2-1-1 in conference play.

The only goal of the match came in the 12th minute-mark off scored by Hunter's William Benitez off a free kick.  It was also the first time since 2014 that the Hawks defeat the Lightning.

An even encounter on Wednesday that saw Hunter just edge out Lehman on total shots 11 to 10 (3-1 on goal).  Junior goalkeeper Chris Mulholland had two saves for the Lightning in the loss.

Lehman returns to action this Sunday at South Field when it welcomes College at Old Westbury in a non-conference encounter at noon.
