Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College swimming/diving teams split a non-conference dual meet, on Saturday at The APEX Pool, against visiting Western Connecticut State as men's side posted 154-109 win, while the women lost 48-119 decision.
The Lightning men improve to 2-1 record, while the women drop to 1-3 on the year.
Lehman men swimmer was led by
Christopher Fischer who won three Freestyle races: 50 (24.55), 100 (53.16), 200 (1:59.25), while
Anton Kyrylenko took 50 and 100 Breaststroke clocking in at 29.74 and 1:07.32, respectively.
Rinaldi Hernandez claimed first place in 50 Butterfly (29.45), while
Juan Rodriguez took 50 Backstroke at a time of 32.98. Also, Fischer, Hernandez, Kyrylenko and
Daniel O'Neill finished first in 200 Freestyle Relay at 1:40.44.
On the women's side,
Sarina Eshtiaghi led the way for Lehman as she captured two backstroke events taking 50 at 30.27 and then 100 at 1:05.27. She also won the 100 Butterfly clocking in at 1:11.58.
The Lightning swimmers return to action on Monday, November 19
th when they hosts Purchase College in a non-conference dual meet at 6 pm.
