Old Westbury, NY - The Lehman College men's and women's swimming teams defeated SUNY Old Westbury with the men winning 114-81 and the women winning 43-13. Both Lehman squads now stand at 1-1.
It was all Lehman at the Clark Aquatic Center on the campus of The College of Old Westbury as the Lightning got back in the pool after a ten day layoff.
On the men's side Hugo Berrera took home the top spot in the 1000 free in a time of 12:45.03. In the men's 200 free, Ryan Sanchez stood atop the podium with a time of 2:11.42. Sanchez also had the top mark in the 500 free in a time of 6:06.68. Rinaldi Hernandez placed first in the 100 fly in a time of 1:10.29. Chris Fischer prevailed in the 100 Free in a time of 54.11.
On the women's side, Shelia Davila prevailed in the 200 free in a time of 3:26.71. She also captured first place in the 100 Fly in a time of 1:53.67. Sarina Eshtiaghi took the top spot in the 50 free in a time of 27.87. Eshtiaghi also had the top mark in the 100 free in 1:03.68.
The Lightning return to action on November 13 as they open CUNYAC competition with a home meet against the Hunter Hawks.
