Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's basketball team fell 98-31 to visiting Old Westbury in a non-conference encounter at The APEX Main Gym on Tuesday evening. The Lightning drop to 1-7 record, while the Panthers improve to an 8-1 ledger.
Lehman was unable stop Old Westbury's shooting spree in the first half as it hit 68 percent from the field, which included perfect 100 percent from 3-point range to take 43-22 lead. The Panthers continued their hot shooting in the second stanza hitting 67 percent from the field as they ended with five players in double figures to post their first victory against the Lightning since 2015.
Despite the score-line Lehman fought the majority of the game with only six active players. The Lightning concluded the game with only four on the court after two had fouled out (with five fouls each).

Lisa Fields led Lehman scoring 12 points, while dishing out four assists and grabbing four rebounds. Forward
Salima Sangare added nine points for the Lightning, while teammate
Adeeba Cheema notched eight points.
Lehman will take 17 days off before returning to action to host the annual Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament from December 28-29.
