Staten Island, N.Y. – The Lehman College swimming/diving teams lost a pair CUNYAC dual meets to hosts College of Staten Island (CSI) at Sports & Recreation Center on Friday evening.
The Lightning men (3-3, 0-1 CUNYAC) fell 122-96 to the Dolphins (3-1, 1-1 CUNYAC). Meanwhile the Lehman women (3-5, 0-2 CUNYAC) dropped a 117-74 decision to CSI (1-4, 1-2 CUNYAC).
Christopher Fischer led the way for the Lightning men by winning the 100 (51.29) and 200 (1:56.62) freestyle, while
Hugo Barrera captured the 1000 freestyle (12:25.51) and
Anton Kyrylenko took the 200 individual medley (2:17.19).
In the women's events, Lehman's
Sarina Eshtiaghi claimed first in the 100 backstroke (1:08.07), 200 individual medley (2:30.84) and 1000 freestyle (12:18.03).
The Lightning swimmers return to The APEX Pool next Tuesday when they host Brooklyn College in a CUNYAC dual meet set for 6 pm.
