The Lehman College men's volleyball team swept Sarah Lawrence College on Sunday afternoon, 3-0 (25-9, 25-15, 25-14). With the win, the Lightning are back to the .500 mark at 5-5. 

Men's Volleyball team jumped all over Sarah Lawrence in the first set with 8 unanswered points. Jose Bautista led the 8-0 run with five straight service aces, forcing Sara Lawrence into an early timeout. Xayveon Williams had two service aces. Yaw Eshun added two kills in the first set. The Lightning capitalized on Sara Lawrence's six errors and five bad sets to take the first set 25-9.

Both teams jockeyed for position through first 22 points of the second set  with Lehman taking 12-10 advantage. The Lightning pushed it to 17-10 with five consecutive points led by Bautista's three consecutive service aces. The Lightning closed out the second set, 25-15, on a bad set by Sarah Lawrence. 

Set three went to Lehman 25-14. The third set started off on an 8-1 run with 7 consecutive points for the Lightning and the Lightning were never seriously challenged.  .

Bautista led the Lightning in both service ace and assists department with 11  and nine assists respectively. Eshun was the lead man in kills with eight for the match. 

The Gryphons remain winless at 0-6.

The Lightning jump back into action on Monday in a CUNYAC Tri-match versus the City College of New York and the College of Staten Island. The first match is set to 10:00 AM.
