Lehman fell 11-4 to Mt. St. Mary in a non-conference baseball game played at Dutchess Stadium.  The Lightning now stand at 5-7 while the Knights improve to 11-4. 
 
The Lightning spotted the Knights nine runs in the first two innings and could not overcome the deficit.

Lehman did get one back in the fourth.  Mark Vargas doubled down the left field line to lead off the frame.  After a Natanael Toribio ground out and a hit by pitch, David Rodriguez delivered a single to left center plating Vargas to give the Lightning their first run of the night.  The Lightning got two more back in the fifth.  Mike Zerbo led off the frame with a walk and scored when Mark Vargas doubled to left center.  Vargas later scored on a wild pitch. The Knights got one back in the bottom half of the inning to make the score 10-3.  After a scoreless sixth, the Lightning manufactured a run in the seventh when Rodriguez delivered a single through the right side to score Vargas.    Mt. St. Mary got the run right back in their half of the inning. 

Vargas and Rodriguez led the Lightning attack.  Vargas was 3-5 with three runs scored and an rbi.  Rodriguez was 2-5 with a pair of rbi.

The Lightning return to action, weather permitting on Wednesday afternoon.  Lehman is scheduled to host the Eagles of St. Joseph's (LI).
