Set one had eight ties before the Bulldogs took it, 25-20.  Yaw Eshun had a kill and Peter Veljovic and George Montilla followed with a combined block to put the Lightning up 14-12.  From there, Brooklyn scored three straight points, Lehman tied it at 15 and the Bulldogs took the lead for good.

Lehman took a 4-0 lead in set two on a kill and ace from Roberto Ventura Diaz, another kill from Veljovic and a block from Mentor Mahmuti.  Later in the set, Montilla kill gave Lehman its largest lead, six points, at 12-6.  They never relinquished the lead for the remainder of the set and finished it off with a Veljovic kill.

Set three was back-and-forth as both sides jockeyed for control.  The score would be tied 13 different times in the set, the final time came at 19-all.  The Bulldogs scored two of the final three points to take the set, 25-22.

The Lightning trailed 10-3 in the final set before they rallied.  Later, a 4-0 run got them within 14-10 as they got consecutive kills from Diaz and two strong serves from Jose Bautista that led to errors.  A Filipe Velandia kill later in the set, tied the score at 21-21, but Brooklyn took it, 25-23.
