Jamaica, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's soccer team won its second consecutive conference encounter on Wednesday after defeating hosts York, 2-0, at Detective Keith L. Williams Park. The Lightning improve to 4-5 overall mark (2-1 CUNYAC), while the Cardinals fall to 1-7-1 and 0-2-1 in conference play.
Freshman forward
Mubarack Ouro scored his first collegiate goal off a cross pass down middle from senior forward Sahl Alzubidi for Lehman's 1-0 advantage in the 31
st minute.
Sophomore midfielder
Eduardo Victorio closed out the scoring when he notched his second tally of the season in the 68
th minute-mark off an assist from sophomore defender
Adewale Adewusi for the Lightning's 2-0 victory.
Junior goalkeeper
Chris Mulholland made just one save for Lehman to earn his fourth victory and third shutout of the season.
The Lightning are back at South Field this Saturday for another CUNYAC match-up, this time hosting Brooklyn College at noon.
