Mubarack Ouro scored two goals and added an assist to lead Lehman College men's soccer team to a 3-2 conference victory over visiting Brooklyn College on Saturday afternoon at South Field. The Lightning improve to 5-5 overall record and 3-1 in CUNYAC, while the Bulldogs drop to 2-10 and 2-1 in conference play.
After Brooklyn took the lead on a tally from forward Carlos Calzadilla in the eighth minute, Ouro tied it for Lehman 10 minutes later with an empty netter off an assist from sophomore midfielder
Eduardo Victorio.
Victorio gave the Lightning a 2-1 advantage with a 20-yard rocket off a free kick pass from Ouro that beat Bulldogs goalkeeper Balint Barabas.
Ouro notched his second tally of the match for Lehman in 50
th minute off a one-touch volley from the top of the 18-yard box.
The Bulldogs' forward Julian Calame-Mars made it 3-2 with a goal in 59
th minute, however, Lightning held on for the win.
Lehman outshot Brooklyn 14-8, with junior goalkeeper
Chris Mulholland posting six saves for his fifth victory of the season.
The Lightning continue CUNYAC play on Wednesday when they travel to take on Hunter College at Randall's Island at 3 pm.
