Newark, N.J. – The Lehman College women's tennis team won its second consecutive match as it topped hosts Rutgers-Newark, 7-2, in a non-conference match-up, at The Golden Dome Courts on Saturday.  The Lightning improve to a 2-4 record this season, while the Scarlet Raiders fall to 0-7 mark.

Lehman swept the six respective singles matches against New Jersey Athletic Conference opponent as junior Lizaveta Markouskaya, sophomores Alana Bierman, Celine Figueroa, Yohara Molineros, Joanna Rosario and freshman Diwa Rana all posted victories.

Also, the duo of Markouskaya/Rina won in doubles over the Scarlet Raiders' Nell Karpinski/Byranna Thazton, 8-6.

The Lightning are back in action at The APEX Tennis Courts on Tuesday when they hosts FDU-Florham Campus at 3:30 pm.
